I believe these words strongly; its about the art people!! They wouldnt hav called it deviantART just so people could worry about how many people hav looked at ur page. Over half the people who look at ur page dont bother to comment on ur art anyway.

If it doesn't matter then why do we have adcast ,or a a pageview counter in the first place? To some it means nothing ,but others feel ignored.

I think dA is popularity contest ,myself. :shrug:

I was going to say that we shouldnt hav a pageview counter, but that would just sound corny ;)

As for the Adcast, it should stay, because its perpose is to get people to not just veiw an artists page, but to make their are known, therefore more comments & critiques. But the reason u shouldnt worry about Pageviews is because lots of the people who visit ur page are too lazy to critique & comment at all.
